Job description

Our client a U.S.-owned manufacturing company based in Johor, Malaysia. Specializing in smart home appliances, They designs and produces products such as vacuum cleaners, air compressors, and intelligent cleaning devices is looking for a IT Manager to be based in Pekan Nanas (Onsite).

Location: Pekan Nanas, Johor (On-site only with Accommodation Provided)

Position Overview:

We are looking for Dynamic and hands – on IT Manager for our client to support and manage the company’s overall IT strategy, systems, and operations. This role will design and maintain enterprise-level IT architecture, ensuring smooth integration of systems such as ERP, MES, and PLM to support business needs and improve efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

• Based on company strategy, formulate the enterprise information strategy. Design enterprise-level IT architecture, integrate ERP, MES, PLM and other systems to achieve end-to-end business process data integration and improve operational efficiency.
• Responsible for system selection (such as ERP, MES), implementation, and secondary development to ensure stable system operation and alignment with production needs.
• Lead the full lifecycle management of information projects, controlling project progress and risks.
• Establish data governance systems and information security frameworks, deploy firewalls, data encryption, and other measures; develop ITIL/COBIT standard processes, optimize IT service management, and ensure high system availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Collaborate with production, supply chain, R&D, and other departments to empower business decisions through technology, improve business processes, and address pain points in production operations.
• Build and develop the IT team, promote agile development and technological innovation, and enhance the team's technical capabilities.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above, major in computer science or related fields.
• Over 10 years of experience in manufacturing industry IT, with at least 5 years in IT management roles in manufacturing enterprises. Experience leading smart factory or Industry 4.0 projects is preferred; experience in home appliance industry IT is preferred.
• Proficient in SAP, MES, PLM systems, with capabilities in secondary development, system optimization, and integration.
• Familiar with enterprise IT governance methods, strong strategic thinking and cross-department coordination abilities, able to adapt to fast-paced and high-intensity work environments.
• Bilingual in English and Chinese, with strong communication skills to liaise and report directly to a Chinese-speaking IT Director.
• Demonstrates flexibility and commitment by being available to provide support after hours or on off days, when necessary.
