Job description

Join Sandisk as an IT Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Intern to gain hands‑on experience in software automation supporting manufacturing operations.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Assist in the design, development, testing, and support of IT MES applications to meet business and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with IT team members and stakeholders to gather user requirements, perform analysis, and propose scalable, reusable, and standardized technical solutions.
• Support daily operations by investigating system issues, participating in root cause analysis, and implementing preventive IT solutions.
• Follow established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes with proper documentation and execution.
• Contribute to production support and initiatives aimed at improving quality, yield, cost, utilization, and cycle time.
• Participate in the definition, construction, implementation, and support of MES satellite systems under senior engineers’ guidance.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations to support development and operations.
• Continuously develop technical skills and domain knowledge while adhering to IT standards, policies, and best practices.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to manage tasks within timelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Basic to intermediate experience in software development using Microsoft .NET framework, particularly C# (.NET).
• Fundamental understanding of Oracle database concepts, including SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures.
• Familiarity with XML, Web Services, and JSON is an added advantage.
