JOB SUMMARY
To lead the Infrastructure team towards a highly integrated and reliable IT system for the organization and operate within the budget allocated, oversee and support the day-to-day administrative and operations of the section and continue to provide efficient and effective support to ensure the entire IT systems are in smooth running to support the company business plan.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- To manage the infrastructure team in the implementation and support of the existing and new systems to ensure all IT solutions are fit to support the business plan
- To be responsible for section personnel issues, subject matter coverage, skills development of the team members, new and existing projects contractual issues, reporting, addressing cross-section operational issues
- To improve and enhance existing systems whenever necessary, continuously update systems/infrastructure design by adopting the latest technologies
- To implement, monitor and ensure compliance with the organisation's Global IT governance, compliance, policies and procedures
- To define and implement the relevant local IT standards, guidelines and policies, which are not covered under Global IT policies
- To prepare the IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans for IT systems
- To review all system-related IT security plans throughout the organisation's network
- To lead and encourage team members to explore and experiment with various IT technologies that shall bring advantage to the organisation
- Any other assignment deemed fit to be given by the IT Manager from time to time
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor/Master Degree preferably in IT related field 10+ years of related experience including comprehensive experience in design and operating complex IT systems, managing information systems work of an organisation, and supervisory/administrative role, including 3+ years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of network architecture (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs)
- Strong experience with Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, Virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V/ Promox)
- Strong knowledge with backup policies, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or equivalent
- Experience with databases such as Oracle, MSSQL
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
- Preferred:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, MCSE, VMware, AWS/Azure certifications, ITIL)
- Experience with DevOps tools and automation (Ansible, PowerShell, Terraform)
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR
