Information Technology Engineer (Data Center)
IT Engineer (Data Center Operations) | Entry to Mid-Level
About the Role
We are looking for motivated entry-level candidates who are passionate about IT and eager to grow their careers in data center operations and infrastructure. As an IT Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data center environment through hands-on technical work, monitoring, and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incident tickets according to SOPs, including incident acceptance, recording, routing, escalation, tracking, and reporting.
- Execute change tasks such as equipment installation/removal and structured cabling.
- Register and manage the entry/exit of data center personnel and supplier equipment.
- Supervise on-site construction and enforce safety regulations within the data center.
- Monitor data center equipment, conduct regular inspections, and escalate any faults.
- Participate in a 24/7 rotational shift schedule (including nights, weekends, and public holidays).
- Manage the receipt and dispatch of equipment/assets and maintain accurate inventory tracking.
- Support continuous improvement by assessing data center utilization and suggesting optimization opportunities.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Interest in data center operations and IT infrastructure.
- Willingness to work on-site and in rotational shifts.
- Eager to learn, proactive, and able to work in a collaborative environment.
- Strong communication and troubleshooting skills.
