State Registered Nurse registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board

Must possess current practicing license.

Post Basic in Infection Control practices.

Degree in Nursing would be an advantage

At least five (5) years post-graduate working experience in area of specialty with at least three (3) years of experience in the capacity of managerial task.

Previously an Infection Control Link Nurse which will be an advantage for this position.

Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of hospital-wide Infection Control Practices and Clinical Quality Assurance Program in line with current and adopted professional standards, through hospital surveillance and audits.

Recommends short and long term plan relating to Infection Control Practices, working in close liaison with the Patient Care Committee, Medical and Nursing Staff and Administration.

Conducts monthly surveillance rounds on issues pertaining to Infection Control and recommends corrective measures as required.

Develops training programs for Infection Control Link Nurses and Link Personnel to enhance their knowledge and skills pertaining to infection control issues.
