1. Health Promotion and Education:
Conduct health education programs on ergonomics, healthy lifestyles, and workplace hazards.
Organize wellness campaigns, vaccination drives, and awareness programs for employees.
2. Health Surveillance and Medical Examinations:
Perform pre-employment, periodic, and exit medical examinations as required by law or company policy (if any).
Monitor employees exposed to workplace hazards through regular health surveillance programs (e.g., audiometry, spirometry, and blood tests for chemical exposure).
3. First Aid and Emergency Response:
Manage and maintain first aid room facilities and ensure readiness.
Provide first aid treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses.
Assist in the implementation and coordination of emergency response plans.
Collaborate with safety department to identify and assess workplace hazards.
Provide recommendations to mitigate risks affecting employees' health.
Monitor and verify corrective and preventive actions for health non-conformance findings to ensure timely resolution.
5. Occupational Health Program Management:
Develop, implement, and monitor occupational health programs in compliance with Malaysian laws and standards.
Ensure compliance with DOSH (Department of Occupational Safety and Health) guidelines and industry best practices.
6. Case Management:
Manage workplace injury and illness cases, including rehabilitation and return-to-work programs.
Conduct thorough investigations of workplace accidents, including SOCSO case processing and reporting to DOSH.
Maintain medical records and ensure confidentiality.
7. Advisory Role:
Advise management on policies related to occupational health, such as sick leave, absenteeism, and workplace accommodations.
Participate in safety and health committees to provide expert input on health-related matters.
Possess Diploma/Degree in Nursing; post-basic in Occupational Health preferred
BLS/ACLS certified
Minimum 2 years’ experience (Emergency/Industrial/Medical-Surgical)
Knowledge of Medical Acts, Health & EHS regulations
Independent, proactive, and adaptable
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
First Aid & ERT experience is a plus
