Job Responsibility
MAIN JOB FUNCTION
Responsible for carrying out chemical exposure monitoring, local exhaust ventilation inspection, indoor air quality assessment, and other related monitoring work as required.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
CHEMICAL EXPOSURE MONITORING
- Conduct chemical exposure monitoring (CEM) based on project requirements.
- Ensure proper calibration of CEM measuring equipment.
- Complete and submit comprehensive reports of the chemical exposure monitoring.
- Present findings and recommendations on chemical exposure to clients.
- Submit assessment reports to DOSH upon completion.
INDOOR AIR QUALITY ASSESSMENT
- Perform environmental assessments using scientific and regulatory knowledge related to IAQ.
- Conduct walkthrough inspections with specific instruments and data collection.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs.
- Carry out site visits for air quality surveys.
- Analyze recorded data and produce detailed technical reports.
- Submit assessment reports to DOSH upon completion.
NOISE RISK ASSESSMENT
- Perform noise risk assessments as per project requests.
- Ensure calibration of noise measuring equipment.
- Notify DOSH before conducting noise assessments.
- Complete and submit detailed noise risk assessment reports.
- Present findings and noise control recommendations to clients.
SALES
- Expand the company's business by acquiring new clients.
- Act as a technical representative to explain services to clients.
HSE
- Prepare HSE compliance documentation based on client requirements.
- Develop HSE Plans, Close Out Reports, JHAs, HIRARCs, and related documents prior to job execution.
- Collaborate with Operations and other departments on HSE matters.
- Train workers on HSE policies and procedures.
- Maintain and update HSE monitoring logs and compliance checklists.
- Ensure validity of onshore and offshore competencies.
- Establish good rapport with client HSE officers and staff.
- Perform other HSE duties as instructed.
- Willingness to travel is required.
Job Requirements
- Attended and passed Hygiene Tech I course; registered with DOSH.
- Attended and passed Indoor Air Quality course; registered with DOSH.
- Attended and passed Noise Risk Assessment course; registered with DOSH.
- Relevant competencies as an industrial hygienist.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in industrial hygiene in oil & gas and OSH sectors.
- Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Diploma/Degree in Health, Safety & Environment or related field.
- Good knowledge in Environmental Health & Safety, CEM, IAQ, and NRA.
- Experience in the oil & gas industry is advantageous.
