We are currently seeking a Industrial Hygienist and Occupational Health Nurse to join our team based in Kuala Lumpur.
Successful candidates will be offered Fixed Term Contract.

About the mission we offer you:An occupational health nurse (OHN) practices within the workplace and contributes to the health and wellbeing of employees. Occupational health nursing practice is an important part of a public health strategy and is influenced by a range of health and safety legislation. An industrial hygienist plays a crucial role in ensuring workplace safety and health by identifying, evaluating, and controlling environmental hazards that could adversely affect the health and well-being of workers. Core responsibilities encompass a wide range of activities, which includes formal Health Risk Assessment (HRA), all aimed at minimizing risks associated with occupational exposure to harmful agents.
Main Challenges- To provide first aid care to employees in case of accident, injuries and sudden illness using the adequate techniques and make necessary referral to the nearest hospital. To escort employees if needed.
- Manage and execute health risk assessments for projects in line with the clients requirements.
- To provide consultation, counseling and treatment of the sick and the injured.
- To report accidents, injuries and sudden illnesses to the HSE Department and maintain record keeping.
- To maintain sick bay, lactation room and first aid room cleanness and tidiness e.g. to change curtains and sterilization of medical devices.
- Participate in providing Occupational Health Service to projects e.g. Drug and Alcohol program.
- To provide clinical services to employees.
- To check Automated External Defibrillator (AED) monthly in all floors at Menara Technip Energies
- To provide quarterly Lunch & Learn CPR, AED and First Aid Care sessions to first aiders.
- To replenish first aid kits for both Menara Technip Energies
- To refill sanitizers for both Menara Technip Energies
- To do monthly Inventory of equipment.
- To purchase first aid items, masks and needed items from the appointed pharmacy
- To make arrangement for Wellness activities.
- To advise first aiders on their roles & responsibilities for Fire Evacuation Drill.
Starting Date: Immediately
Main Accountabilities:- Assist and offer advice on health within a multidisciplinary team
- Identify potential health and safety problems
- Assist in the introduction and maintenance of policy development
- Design, develop and deliver new health promotion initiatives
- Identify a range of risk and health assessments that can occur to help with improving the health and wellbeing of staff
- Deliver a range of health and safety related training programs
- Evaluate employee exposure to hazardous chemicals and undertaking statutory and non-statutory health surveillance
- Offer advice on return-to-work strategies following serious injury or a period of prolonged ill-health
- Advise employers on how they can achieve compliance with health and safety and employment legislation
- Keep up to date with legal and professional changes with public health and occupational health and safety
About you:- Possess a bachelors degree in nursing, at a minimum a diploma in Nursing
- Registered Occupational Health Nurse with NIOSH
- Registered Industrial Hygienist with MIHA
- At least ten years of post-registration nursing practices in hospitals
- Excellent attitude to people
- Digital apps and proficiency tools (MS Office, Outlook etc.)
- Proactive, independent and enthusiastic in driving the Health Profile
Good to have:
- Any other health competency certificates i.e. AMRO etc.
- Certified Mental Health First Aider
