Role

As a Creative industrial Designer at Tenaga Fraser, you take an active role at creating exciting product models and shaping the future of the company. You will work as a team with other creative designers and engineers to come up with practical and creative solutions in accordance with the Tenaga Fraser brand philosophy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Industrial Design, Transportation Design or Product Design.
• Good hand-sketching skills.
• Exceptional design intuition, strong problem-solving skills and a superior ability to visually communicate through sketches, and renderings.
• Ability to think three-dimensionally with a strong emphasis on proportions and a refined sense of graphics and form.
• Be self-driven on project developments and work creatively within technical package/constraints.
• Medium level of expertise in the usage of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw.
• Photography and videography skills are an advantage.
• High level of integrity, responsibility, initiative, team spirit, drive and commitment.
• Good command of English, Bahasa Malaysia
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• The ability to prioritise and plan effectively, to work within cost constraints and to datelines and be part of a team and take responsibility.

Mission

Work closely with the Creative Design Team to deliver new, compelling design solutions and product innovations for automotive exteriors, interiors as well as other projects. Supporting and communication with production team.

Job Description

Typical duties of this role will include:

• Formulate design through preparation of sketches, diagrams, illustrations samples & models. On paper or using computer software.
• Work closely with engineering, production & purchasing to determine design constraints (packaging, homologation, cost, time, etc.) before finding design solutions.
• Pro-active sourcing of vehicle components that could fit a particular design task.
• Identify problems and solution research in manufacturing process
• prepare clear & conscience recommendation through drawings/prototype/ description
• working on 3d printer for prototypes
