Job Description

Strategic Sourcing & Tender Management

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for international freight (air, sea, rail)
  • Support global and regional tender activities – RfI/RfQ preparation, evaluation, and negotiations
  • Ensure sourcing processes align with company guidelines and compliance standards
  • Prepare and manage purchasing decisions and contracts in line with internal approval workflows.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships through regular communication and performance tracking
  • Lead negotiations and ensure service delivery meets required KPIs and compliance standards
  • Coordinate with internal teams (especially logistics operations) to understand freight needs early in the planning process
  • Act as the key contact for Indirect Purchasing within the organization.

Contract & Performance Management

  • Oversee the full contract lifecycle, including renewals and amendments
  • Maintain accurate sourcing records and documentation
  • Monitor freight market trends and assess potential risks or disruptions
  • Provide regular reports on sourcing performance, cost efficiency, and supplier evaluation
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field
  • Up to 7 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or logistics (preferably in a manufacturing or engineering setting)
  • Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office, and sourcing/procurement tools
  • Strong skills in cost analysis, supplier development, and supply chain optimization
  • Effective in negotiation, project management, and stakeholder engagement
  • Knowledge of freight forwarding or transportation markets is an advantage
  • Fluent in English (negotiation level); Japanese or German is a plus
  • Collaborative team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Able to manage priorities under pressure and work in intercultural environments
  • Willingness to travel as needed
