About Our Client

Our client is a leading supply chain & logistics service provider company, and they are looking for an Indirect Procurement Manager to join their team.

Job Description
  1. Maintain and update the approved supplier and item master lists.
  2. Conduct spend analysis for Malaysia, driving cost-saving initiatives to meet targeted savings.
  3. Manage procurement projects to align with customer requirements and achieve revenue targets.
  4. Collaborate with customers and vendors to maintain an efficient supply chain within cost and lead-time constraints.
  5. Proactively understand customer needs to ensure total satisfaction.
  6. Prepare and compile price comparisons for management reviews.
  7. Analyze and report monthly performance metrics for strategic sourcing initiatives and non-trade item spending.
  8. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement category strategies.
  9. Understand business requirements, risks, and opportunities to deliver value improvements.
  10. Utilize supplier knowledge and market expertise to drive innovation and optimization.
  11. Plan and execute procurement activities, including tenders and negotiations, using defined processes.
  12. Undertake additional assignments as required.
The Successful Applicant
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Economics, or related field.
  2. Minimum 5-7 years in a purchasing-related role, with at least 8 years in procurement management within the engineering/B2B sector.
  3. 2-3 years of leadership experience.
  4. Strong supplier network (local and overseas) is advantageous.
  5. Solid understanding of procurement regulations, policies, and best practices.
  6. Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills with key internal stakeholders.
  7. Proven track record in leading and developing high-performing teams.
