Job summary

PERSOL Workforce Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd is recruiting for a senior procurement professional in Kuala Lumpur. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, category management, and end-to-end contracting across multiple indirect spend areas for a multinational context.

You will lead RFI/RFP processes, negotiate with suppliers, manage governance, and drive value realization in a hybrid work environment with 60/40 campus/remote balance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline is required.
• 8–10 years of end-to-end sourcing and contracting experience.
• Experience managing complex and high-value procurement projects.
• Proven stakeholder management experience with regional or global teams.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Experience working in multinational and multicultural environments.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing & Category Management across multiple indirect spend categories.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies; analyze global supply markets.
• Drive cost optimization, risk mitigation, and supplier performance improvements.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities: RFI, RFP, supplier evaluation, negotiations, contracts.
• Manage supplier due diligence and qualification processes; conduct commercial negotiations.
• Build strong supplier relationships across local, regional, and global markets.
• Develop and negotiate commercial contracts; ensure governance and approvals.
• Support procurement governance and value realization initiatives.
• Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams; manage multiple projects.
• Influence sourcing decisions through data-driven insights and commercial intelligence.

Industry : Oil & Gas (Customer & Products)

Employment Type: 12 month contract with PERSOL

Working Hours : Monday - Friday (8.30am - 5.30pm) but flexible to manage other country stakeholder

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (60/40)

Salary range : RM10,000 - RM14,000 (based on experience & qualification)

What You'll Be Doing

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

Develop and execute sourcing strategies across multiple indirect spend categories

Analyze global supply markets and provide procurement recommendations

Drive cost optimization, risk mitigation, and supplier performance improvements

Support procurement governance and sourcing best practices

Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including RFI, RFP, supplier evaluation, negotiations, and contract awards

Manage supplier due diligence and qualification processes

Conduct commercial negotiations to maximize value delivery

Build strong supplier relationships across local, regional, and global markets

Contracting & Procurement Operations

Develop and negotiate commercial contracts

Manage contract approval processes and governance requirements

Ensure contracts are effectively implemented and operationalized within procurement systems

Support supplier performance and value realization initiatives

Stakeholder Management

Partner with senior business leaders and cross-functional teams globally

Manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously

Influence sourcing decisions through data-driven recommendations and commercial insights

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline
