Job summary

AT&S Malaysia, building its first Southeast Asia production site in Kulim, seeks an experienced Commodity Manager – Indirect to drive procurement of non-production goods and services. You will leverage spend, execute cost-saving projects, and manage supplier relationships while ensuring adherence to purchasing processes and compliance.

The role requires strong negotiation, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration, with English and Mandarin language skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor/Master degree with strong technical background in Industrial environment.
5+ years experience in SCM or procurement in high-volume production.
Fluent in English and Mandarin.
Proven experience with RFQ processes and supplier evaluation.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement business strategy for the assigned commodity field.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify cost reduction opportunities.
Plan, coordinate and control demand pooling and measure savings.
Negotiate contract terms and conditions with suppliers.
Lead supplier negotiations and manage supplier relationships.
Provide reporting metrics and data analysis for indirect commodities.
Prepare RFQ/RFIs for sourcing projects and evaluate bids.
Ensure adherence to Purchasing processes and Compliance.
