The core responsibility of the Income Auditor is to verify that all charges are properly posted, procedures followed, and all revenue received by the hotel is accurately accounted for.

What will I be doing?

  • Audit daily revenue figures, reports, vouchers, and the General Cashier’s Report.
  • Ensure timely preparation of Daily and Monthly Revenue and Settlement Reconciliation, capturing all revenue.
  • Control gifts and entertainment vouchers according to policy.
  • Review entertainment dockets and checks for proper authorization and signatures.
  • Verify that complimentary rooms are authorized.
  • Audit telephone and internet interface reports for revenue accuracy.
  • Print, audit, and file relevant Front Office and Outlet reports chronologically.
  • Verify transactions in daily reports, including credit cards, city ledger, allowances, rebates, voids, parking revenues, and safe keys.
  • Prepare rebate and allowance summaries and journals.
  • Reconcile credit card charges daily between electronic machines and POS systems.
  • Prepare daily revenue reports for management.
  • Ensure revenue from concessionaires is accurately recorded.
  • Check Room Rate Discrepancy and Room Status Discrepancy reports for proper authorization and note exceptions.
  • Record and follow up on cashier overs/unders.
  • Address discrepancies and incomplete work with relevant departments.
  • Verify authorization and backup for paid out vouchers.
  • Follow up on no-shows and charges with Revenue and Reservation teams.
  • Audit food and beverage reports, verifying cashier remittances and revenue entries.
  • Be familiar with the hotel Manual Contingency Plan for system failures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data input to the general ledger.
  • Maintain organized files, conduct monthly cash counts, and audit safety deposit boxes.
  • Monitor room variance reports and report unreasonable variances.
  • Handle requests and inquiries promptly.
  • Work flexibly, especially during month-end periods.
  • Perform additional tasks to support departmental operations.
  • Ensure safety practices to minimize accidents and costs.

What are we looking for?

  • A university degree in Commerce, Accounting, Management, or related qualifications.
  • Experience in operational accounting roles, preferably managerial.
  • At least 1 year of experience as an Income Auditor Supervisor in hospitality.
  • Knowledge of F&B cashiering, front desk cashiering, and night audit processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and systems like OnQ, OPERA, Micros, SUN.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
