Role Overview

The Income Audit Manager ensures all charges are correctly posted, procedures followed, and all income received by the hotel is properly accounted for.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Audit daily revenue figures, reports, vouchers, and the General Cashier’s Report.
  2. Prepare timely revenue and settlement reconciliations, ensuring all revenue is captured and reported.
  3. Control gifts and entertainment vouchers per policies.
  4. Review entertainment dockets and checks for proper authorization.
  5. Authorize complimentary rooms appropriately.
  6. Audit telephone and internet revenue reports.
  7. Print, audit, and file front office and outlet reports systematically.
  8. Verify transactions in daily reports, including credit card, city ledger, allowances, rebates, voids, parking revenues, and safe keys.
  9. Prepare rebate and allowance summaries and journals.
  10. Reconcile credit card charges daily between systems.
  11. Generate daily revenue reports for senior management.
  12. Ensure accurate recording of concessionaire revenue.
  13. Check room rate discrepancies and ensure proper authorization of rate changes and upgrades.
  14. Monitor room status reports and report anomalies.
  15. Record and follow up on cashier overs/unders.
  16. Address discrepancies and incomplete work with relevant departments.
  17. Ensure proper authorization and documentation for paid-out vouchers.
  18. Coordinate with Revenue and Reservations teams on no-shows and charges.
  19. Audit food and beverage reports and cashier remittances.
  20. Ensure proper accounting of restaurant and bar checks, banquet, and event revenues.
  21. Be familiar with the hotel’s contingency plan and manual procedures for system failures.
  22. Input data accurately into the general ledger system.
  23. Maintain organized and up-to-date files.
  24. Conduct monthly cash counts and safety deposit audits.
  25. Interpret room variance reports and report unreasonable variances.
  26. Handle inquiries professionally and promptly.
  27. Be flexible with working hours, especially during month-end.
  28. Perform additional tasks to ensure departmental efficiency.
  29. Promote safety and minimize accident risks.
Qualifications
  • University degree in Commerce, Accounting, Management, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in operational accounting management.
  • Minimum 1 year as Income Auditor Supervisor in hospitality.
  • Knowledge of F&B and front desk cashiering, night audit.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • System skills in OnQ, OPERA, Micros, SUN.
