As our In-House Legal Executive at Deriv, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our legal strategy across multiple jurisdictions, directly influencing our global growth and compliance posture. You'll tackle challenging regulatory landscapes while providing crucial legal guidance that enables our business to innovate confidently in the fast-paced world of online trading and financial services. On a given day, you will:

  • Deliver timely, practical advice on complex legal matters including regulatory compliance, intellectual property rights, data protection, anti-money laundering, and international contract law
  • Draft and review critical policies and procedures, supporting licensing applications and ensuring ongoing compliance for all Deriv entities
  • Leverage AI-powered legal research and contract analysis tools to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and support informed, data-driven legal decision-making
  • Review advertising and promotional materials to ensure compliance with applicable marketing in multiple jurisdictions, providing clear, actionable guidance to marketing teams to mitigate legal risks
  • Implement data privacy policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with international data protection regulations, conduct privacy impact assessments for new initiatives, manage data subject requests, and advise on best practices for handling personal data across the organisation
  • Conduct targeted legal research on evolving laws and regulations in relevant jurisdictions, distilling actionable insights to alert stakeholders, proactively mitigate risks, and ensure practical, compliant business operations
  • Alert senior leadership to significant legal and regulatory developments, recommending proactive measures to maintain compliance and competitive advantage

  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, working effectively at all levels with high integrity and maturity.
  • Combine meticulous attention to detail with superior organisational abilities, a can-do attitude, and articulate communication skills in both spoken and written English.
