Job description

Job Purpose:
Provide expert legal advice to all departments, ensuring organisational compliance and risk mitigation. The role covers drafting and reviewing legal documents, managing legal administration, and advising on a wide range of business activities, including contracts, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, 3PL, and principal-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Advise management and all departments on legal and compliance matters across business operations

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, purchase agreements, and other commercial documents

Oversee statutory audits, licensing, and regulatory compliance

Deliver internal training on legal and compliance topics

Support company secretarial functions and assist with legal administration

Mitigate legal risks and manage crisis situations as they arise

Requirements:

Bachelor of Laws (LLB)

Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP), or exemption via recognised Malaysian law degree and completed chambering requirements

Proven ability in legal drafting and clear communication

Able to work independently and proactively across multiple functions

Sound knowledge of Malaysian law, commercial practice, and regulatory frameworks

Corporate experience is preferred but not essential
