Job Responsibilities:

• Managing and planning the import process, customs documentation, and ensuring legal compliance with government rules and regulations, including appropriate licenses/permits for shipments.
• Overseeing the issuance of import licenses and completing monetary transactions related to imports in a timely manner.
• Controlling all documentation related to the export process, ensuring necessary documentation is provided to customers to enable timely receipt of products (focused on import and export regulations).
• Ensuring compliance with both home and foreign country laws and customs regulations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of Malaysian Export/Import Law (STA 2010) and Customs Act 1965, including shipment functions.
• Exposure and understanding of US Re-Export and European Re-Export Regulations is advantageous.
• Proficiency and experience in using enterprise software systems such as SAP, Oracle, BaaN, MFG Pro, etc.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Discipline and ethics to ensure compliance with regulations and obtain necessary approvals.

• Diploma or Degree, preferably in Supply Chain Logistics or Import/Export Trade Compliance.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience engaging with government agencies is preferred but not mandatory.
