Job summary

An international education provider in Selangor, Malaysia, is seeking a full-time Art Teacher to deliver the IGCSE Art & Design curriculum. You'll inspire secondary students to develop their creativity and technical skills, guide them in IGCSE examination preparations, and foster a rich learning environment. A Bachelor's Degree and teaching experience in ART (IGCSE) is preferred. This role offers a contract of 12 months.

Qualifications

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Education or related field.
  • Preferably experience in teaching ART (IGCSE) subject.
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience in a school environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Art lessons in accordance with the Cambridge IGCSE Art & Design syllabus.
  • Develop schemes of work and lesson plans that meet curriculum requirements.
  • Design formative and summative assessments aligned with IGCSE grading criteria.
  • Mark and provide constructive feedback to students.
  • Guide students in the development of coursework for IGCSE examination.
  • Organize or support art clubs and exhibitions.
  • Participate in training and departmental meetings.

To deliver high-quality IGCSE Art & Design curriculum to secondary students, fostering creativity, technical skills, and critical thinking. The teacher will inspire students to explore and develop their artistic abilities while preparing them for Cambridge IGCSE Art examinations and further creative studies. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Art lessons in accordance with the Cambridge IGCSE Art & Design syllabus. Develop schemes of work and lesson plans that meet both curriculum requirements and students' interests and abilities. Design formative and summative assessments aligned with IGCSE grading criteria. Mark and provide timely, constructive feedback to students. Encourage students to experiment and express themselves creatively and independently. Guide students in the development of coursework and portfolio submissions for the IGCSE examination. Organize or support art clubs, exhibitions, school-wide mural projects, and inter-school art competitions. Participate in training, departmental meetings, and school development planning.
