A leading insurance company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Actuary to deliver routine actuarial tasks and perform complex analyses. Responsibilities

• Support the design of Takaful columnar fund reporting.
• Troubleshoot issues in the ACE system.
• Document methodologies applied in ACE.
• Work closely with FAR team to obtain the right data input required for fund reporting in ACE and clarify reporting requirements.
• Provide support on the calculation for takaful in ACE.
• Review ACE results for reporting to ensure they meet reporting requirements and align with BNM/industry/MTA expectations.
• Design and propose a new SOP for the new process of preparing fund reporting.
• Document methodologies, limitations, or workarounds applied in ACE.
• Preferred: candidate with 4-5 years of experience in IFRS 17 and takaful reporting.

Overview

Delivers routine actuarial tasks and recommendations requiring minimal direct supervision, and performs more complex actuarial analyses under the supervision of more senior actuaries, in relation to reserving, reporting, quantitative risk management or the pricing of business.

• Support the design and setup of Takaful columnar fund reporting in Group Actuarial Central Engine (ACE).
• Troubleshoot issues and propose solutions to tackle ACE system limitations.
• Enhance Prophet and DCS to suit requirements for columnar reporting in ACE.
• Work closely with FAR team to obtain the right data input required for fund reporting in ACE and clarify reporting requirements.
• Provide support on the calculation for takaful in ACE.
• Review ACE results for reporting to ensure they meet reporting requirements and align with BNM/industry/MTA expectations.
