Job summary

tawk.to is seeking a Technical Lead to architect a zero-to-one product: a real-time identity graph that links browser signals, cookies and IP data into unified visitor profiles across millions of sites.

You will own the technical vision, design the data model, select data providers, and ship the MVP. You'll work with the CTO and cross-functional teams to wire signals from our chat, scheduling, and form products into a scalable resolution platform, balancing performance with cost.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in backend engineering with data-intensive systems
• Experience with identity resolution and data enrichment pipelines
• Experience integrating multiple third-party APIs with rate limiting
• Knowledge of privacy compliance (GDPR/CCPA) in data processing
• Experience designing real-time, low-latency architectures

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the identity resolution service within the existing microservices platform.
• Own the data model including identity nodes, sessions, and signal ingestion.
• Evaluate and integrate third-party APIs with circuit breakers and caching.
• Build real-time, low-latency processing and scalable signal ingestion.
• Lead MVP plan and coordinate cross-functional engineering teams.
