Job summary

Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park in Kuala Lumpur campus is seeking an ICT Teacher for the International Secondary section to inspire learners in ICT and language education.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in education/ICT and at least 3 years of teaching experience, with fluent English and the ability to collaborate with staff, pupils and parents. AI development experience would be advantageous and a student-centered approach is valued.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in education/ICT is a prerequisite.
• You must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant teaching experience.
• Passion for and commitment to whole school (primary and wider) AI development would be advantageous.
• Demonstrate a deep passion for teaching and learning, along with a familiarity with effective instructional strategies in the classroom.
• Working with Primary age pupils (5-11) role andis a flexible team player.
• Creative, inspiring, patient, resourceful, and energetic.
• Puts children at the heart of everything they do.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Is committed to wider aspects of school life and learning including developing students' life skills to support development and growth.

Responsibilities

• Assess students' English language proficiency and identify individual learning needs.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging EAL lessons tailored to students' language abilities.
• Support students in developing their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
• Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to adapt teaching strategies and learning materials for EAL learners.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate assessment records.
• Develop Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) where appropriate.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding students' progress and language development.
• Promote an inclusive learning environment that values cultural and linguistic diversity.
