Qualifications

• Familiarity with the Cambridge IGCSE programme.
• Good interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills with fluency in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to IGCSE, deliver lessons and mark student work.

• Update professional knowledge to keep up with teaching developments.
• Prepare and regularly update subject materials and report progress to parents.
• Prepare information for inspections and quality assurance exercises.
• Supervise relief classes when needed and attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Organise and participate in school events and excursions.

Job description

• Teaching according to the educational needs up to IGCSE, including the appropriate setting, delivering lessons, and marking of work to be carried out by the students.
• Teach using a variety of methods, including formal lessons, discussions, practical activities, experiments, projects, assignments and excursions, taking into account the differences between the individual students
• Prepare daily lessons and course materials such as the syllabus, homework assignment handouts, setting tests, and examination papers.
• Observe and evaluate students’ performance.
• Ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students, which meets internal and external quality standards.
• Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
• Create a positive educational climate for the student to learn in.
• Ensuring a safe, secure, and healthy environment for students.
• Updating professional knowledge and expertise as appropriate to keep up to date with developments in teaching practice and methodology, in general, and the curriculum area of the related subjects.
• Preparing and regularly updating subject materials.
  Evaluate and report on the progress of students and discuss individual performance and problems with students and parents
• Preparing information for inspection visits and other quality assurance exercises.
• Supervise relief classes when other teachers are absent
• Attend staff meetings, educational conferences, trainings and other professional development activities
