Job Description

The Invoice to Cash (“I2C”) process at AkzoNobel includes credit management, collections and dispute management, and cash application. The Regional I2C Champion is responsible for the process design (level 1-4) including IT alignment for systems, policies, compliance, operational reporting, operational analysis, standard operating procedures, training, and closure of deviations to standards.

Responsibilities
  1. Design of the global standard processes/policies/reporting of I2C
  2. Owner of the global standard operating procedures (level 4)
  3. Design and conduct training in the I2C area
  4. Drive process/policy/reporting standardization and improvements
  5. Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives and culture
  6. Coordinate the process/policy/reporting changes in alignment with the systems
  7. Deliver process automation in the appropriate areas
  8. Support transition
  9. Liaise with the internal/external stakeholders
  10. Ensure control and compliance as per defined framework
  11. Develop standard operating procedures/policy/reporting of I2C
  12. Develop and maintain training and communication materials and deliver training and workshops for AkzoNobel and GBS centers
  13. Previewer of any changes made to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  14. Run fit-gap analysis and maintain deviation logs
  15. Deliver the level of process/policy/reporting standardization
  16. Contribute on delivering global processes/policies/reports
  17. Facilitate the implementation and embedding of the GPD as part of the transition of processes currently not executed by the Regional Accounting Controlling teams
  18. Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives related to the designated area
  19. Participate in system changes and secure that process/policy/reporting design is delivering as planned
Job Requirements
  1. Degree/Bachelor in Economics/ Business Administration/Accounting/Controlling
  2. 5-10 years + in I2C process operations and/or process design, Shared Services
  3. Specialized knowledge of I2C operations, financial discipline, strategy and policies
  4. Excellent understanding of I2C process design, ERP systems and controls, including transactional accounting processes
  5. Knowledge of I2C process design methodologies
  6. I2C Process redesign/modelling experience
  7. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  8. Able to think and work conceptually, while taking into account the details and impact of the processes on Operations
  9. Able to work together with other Functions/Towers; has a good understanding of interfaces between own function and others in the end to end processes
  10. Proficient in English language
  11. Ability to prioritize and sensitive to deadlines
  12. Sensitive to a diverse and multi-cultural environment
  13. 15-20% International travelling may be required
