Job summary

Kerry is seeking a Site Hygienist in Penang - Butterworth to deploy Kerry Sanitation Standards at the manufacturing site and collaborate with the regional sanitation team. The role ensures implementation of hygiene practices within the site and coordination with cross-functional teams to uphold food safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of sanitation and food safety experience in operations quality, with knowledge of HACCP and IPM.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of sanitation and food safety experience in an Operations Quality role.
• Experience with HACCP, hazard analysis, and risk assessments.
• Basic IPM knowledge is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Create relationships with cross-functional teams and integrate robust hygiene practices into plant operations.
• Provide standard insight to facilities for stored product pest management and facility pest control.
• Deploy sanitation training programs and execute at site.
• Conduct facility sanitation assessments and support corrective actions to meet Kerry Global Standard.

About the role

Site Hygienist will be involved in deploying Kerry Sanitation Standards at manufacturing site in liaison with the Regional Sanitation Team. The role will also be responsible for implementing those standards within site in conjunction with site cross functional team.

Key responsibilities

• Create relationships with cross-functional team integrate robust hygiene practices into plant operations
• Provide standard insight to facilities for stored product pest management and facility pest control
• Deploy sanitation training program and execute at site
• Conduct facility sanitation assessment assist with risk-based gap prioritization and support corrective action to enable compliance to Kerry Global Standard
• Assess site for compliance to corporate hygienic design, food safety and HSE standards
• Conduct Microbiological and Allergen Cleaning & Sanitation Validations for Manual cleaning methods, Clean In Place (CIP), Assisted Cleaning Systems (ACS), Clean Out of Place immersion Tanks (COP tanks) and other automated cleaning mechanisms
• Report sanitation KPI’s and implement plans to meet Sanitation and Food Safety targets
• Prepares reports, presentations, operational documents, and other communications containing descriptive, analytical, and evaluative content related to sanitation activities subject to review and editing by higher-level staff members.
• Integrated Pest Management (IPM) related
• To work together with the pest control specialist partner in maintaining the Plant IPM programme.
• To perform gap analysis and cross functional coordination in strengthening the plant IPM programme.
• To be accountable in all external/ internal audit related to Sanitation and/ or IPM.

Qualifications and skills

• Minimum of 2-3 years of Sanitation & Food Safety experience in an Operations Quality role
• Experience with prerequisite programs, HACCP, Hazard analysis, risk assessments with teams
• Basic IPM knowledge will be added advantage.
• An ability to communicate with cross functional teams and implement sanitation systems.
• Desired Education A Qualified Degree in Food Science/Food Technology/Food Engineering/Microbiology or related disciplines
