We're looking for an experienced Hygiene Manager required for our Executive Office division.

Job summary

The Hygiene Manager, under the guidance and supervision of the Resident Manager or any assigned Managers, is responsible for the highest level of sanitation and hygiene standards in the hotel and to ensure all food served to guests and employees are free of microbiological, chemical, and physical contamination, and all work areas conform to minimum requirements set by local health authorities.

Requirement

  1. Minimum 3 years of work experience (Area Hygiene Manager minimum 6 years and above) in food safety or related field, such as Food Manufacturing Industry. Hotel or F&B Industry experience preferred.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.)
  3. Possess recognized food safety auditing skills to conduct inspections and audits to ensure food safety compliance.
  4. Comprehensive knowledge of hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards. (Kitchen/F&B management experience preferred).
  5. Diploma in Food Science, Food Engineering, Food Safety etc., and or higher or similar (Preferred).
  6. Knowledgeable of local hygiene requirements. Able to strengthen food safety supervision and achieve Hygiene Manager and/or Hygiene Supervisor required certification, where applicable.
  7. HACCP and/or ISO 22000 knowledge and awareness of system requirements, able to assist in achieving such certifications. Have HACCP/ISO22000 external auditor certification. (Preferred).
  8. Knowledge of ISO 14001 / OHSAS 18001 and EHS (Preferred) implementation.
  9. Excellent verbal and written communications. Strong people management skills.
  10. Possess Train-the-Trainer Skills / Industry Trainer Certification.
  11. Have at least 3 years of food safety training experience (Preferred).
  12. Familiar with current culinary trends and methods (Preferred).
  13. Capable of working independently, as well as in a team environment.
  14. Able to work in shifts, on weekends and / or Public Holidays when needed.
  15. Fluent written and spoken English and Malay; additional language i.e., any local / international language is a definite advantage.
  16. Malaysian Nationality only.
