Delisauce World Foods Sdn Bhd seeks an experienced Environmental Manager to lead sanitation processes and ensure compliance with relevant standards. The role encompasses managing hygiene, overseeing wastewater treatment operations, and fostering a culture of food safety. Candidates should possess a degree in a related field and significant experience in food manufacturing hygiene and management.
· Lead implementation and monitoring of sanitation processes across all plant areas: production, packaging, utilities, and warehousing.
· Ensure full compliance with HACCP, GMP, BRC, and local regulatory standards.
· Conduct routine hygiene inspections, microbial sampling, sanitation verification, and corrective action management.
Production Partnership
· Collaborate closely with production to build hygiene schedules aligned with planning, minimizing downtime.
· Influence process flow improvements to enhance cleanability and reduce contamination risks.
· Drive cross-functional hygiene awareness and food safety training.
· Oversee WWTP operations, ensure effluent meets DOE discharge standards.
· Supervise process monitors, chemical dosing systems, clarifiers, sludge handling, and maintenance schedules.
· Manage solid and liquid waste streams: segregation, storage, internal handling, and vendor pickup schedules.
· Ensure adherence to hazardous waste protocols and documentation for chemical disposal.
· Collaborate with contractors to optimize pick-up frequency, costs, and sustainability initiatives.
Documentation & Reporting
· Maintain hygiene logs, swab/ water sampling records, and cleanliness checklists.
· Generate regular reports on KPIs, audit results, incident investigations, and waste/effluent data.
Leadership & Training
· Lead the hygiene/sanitation team, assign tasks, and track performance.
· Organize regular training on sanitizing protocols, safe chemicals handling, and waste/WWTP best practices.
· Proactively propose upgrades in sanitation equipment or WWTP processes.
· Incorporate new technologies or methods to improve hygiene, reduce waste, or lower environmental footprint.

Requirements
Education: Degree in Food Science, Environmental Engineering, Microbiology, or related field.
Experience: • 6–10 years in food manufacturing hygiene/QA/production roles, including 2–3 years in management capacity. • Hands-on WWTP supervision; understanding of BOD, COD, pH control, sludge handling. • Waste management and scheduling experience (solid segregation, hazardous and liquid waste).
Technical Skills/Certifications: • Wastewater and effluent treatment operation certification. • Knowledge of Malaysian DOE & MOH waste/environmental regulations.
Soft Skills: • Strong multitasking, time management, and analytical aptitude. • Leadership, team development, and cross-team coordination skills. • Fluent communication in English; Malay proficiency is an advantage.
