Job summary

Intel in Malaysia (Penang) is seeking a Logistics Operations Manager – Transportation to oversee inbound, interplant, and outbound material flows, drive KPI performance, and lead continuous improvement across global logistics partners.

This role requires 4+ years in logistics operations, proficiency with SAP/TMS, and strong data analysis to optimize cost, speed, and reliability, with a hybrid on-site/off-site work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
• 4+ years in logistics operations or 3PL management.
• Proficiency in SAP/TMS and 4PL/3PL freight supplier management.
• Strong knowledge of transportation operations and compliance.
• Advanced data analysis to drive operational improvements.
• Experience with end-to-end execution ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage logistics operations for inbound, interplant, and outbound materials, equipment, and finished goods.
• Provide dock operations ownership to support site start-up, ramp, and steady-state logistics execution.
• Monitor and drive performance against logistics KPIs, compliance requirements, and operational standards.
• Analyze logistics processes and data to identify inefficiencies, defects, and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Track, elevate, and resolve shipping, warehouse, carrier, and execution exceptions to ensure continuity of deliveries.
• Manage critical logistics escalations, minimizing impact to operations and customer service.
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams and external logistics providers to ensure seamless execution.
• Utilize analytical and digital tools to develop logistics solutions that optimize cost, speed, quality, and reliability.
• Provide regular updates to senior leaders on schedule, scope, cost, risk, and execution readiness.
• This position also plays a significant role in preparing for the ongoing Assembly Test and Wafer Sort factory operations startup.
