Job summary

Brooks is seeking an Assembler I in Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru to perform mechanical and electrical assembly on robotic systems. The role includes following operation methods, setting up components, and ensuring tolerances are met.

You may lead projects and mentor junior staff while working within a diverse team. Ideal candidates have 2–7 years in mechanical or electrical assembly, strong reading of drawings and schematics, and the ability to troubleshoot using measurement tools.

Qualifications

Mechanical or Electrical knowledge with 2-7 years of relevant experience.
Strong electrical and mechanical skills for assembly tasks.
Ability to read measurement tools and perform I/O checks.
Experience in electrical/mechanical assembly of robotic systems.
Ability to read mechanical drawings, pneumatic and electrical schematics.
Semiconductor equipment/cleanroom experience is a plus.
Experience with industrial robots is a plus.
Problem solving mindset and willingness to mentor others.
Preferred industries include Semiconductor, Medical Devices, EMS.
Willing to work at Pasir Gudang.

Responsibilities

Perform a wide variety of electronic, mechanical, or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies.
Follow methods and sequence of operations for wiring, component installation, and kit assembly on robotic systems.
Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to specifications.
Contribute to techniques, processes, and practices that advance the organization’s effectiveness.
May lead major project initiatives and act as group leader.
Mentor and transfer knowledge to junior staff members.
Work as part of a team to resolve complex problems.
Other duties as assigned.
