Job summary

Outsourced is seeking an intermediate-level accounting professional to own assigned work and progress tasks to a review-ready stage. The hybrid accountant/bookkeeper role combines standard bookkeeping with SMSF accounting using BGL, supporting Australian clients from offshore.

The candidate will handle journal entries, reconciliations, data processing and documentation, while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and timely communication with the Director and clients.

Qualifications

• Experience with journals, reconciliations and client accounting data processing.
• Familiarity with Xero as the practice's primary platform.
• Support SMSF accounting using BGL workflows.

Responsibilities

• Accounting preparation and client data processing.
• Enter and maintain client accounting information accurately.
• Review source records for completeness and consistency.
• Prepare manual journal entries with explanations.
• Complete assigned reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Keep SMSF files organised and maintain a clear trail of work.
