Job summary

Midea Scott & English Electronics Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced air conditioning technician in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will maintain, repair, and troubleshoot AC systems, read and interpret schematics, and perform routine servicing to ensure reliable operation.

You will communicate clearly with customers, document work performed, and follow safety guidelines while contributing to high-quality service. A minimum 2 years of relevant experience and an apprenticeship in AC are required.

Qualifications

• SPM/SKM or equivalent required.
• Completion of an apprenticeship or vocational program in air conditioning.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an air-conditioner technician.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring, controls and AC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair air conditioning systems including electrical wiring and controls.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems and perform necessary repairs.
• Perform regular maintenance to ensure efficient operation.
• Keep accurate records of work, parts used and time spent.
• Explain work needed to customers and provide maintenance recommendations.
• Follow safety procedures when working with AC systems.
• Stay updated with industry developments and technologies.
• Other adhoc tasks assigned by supervisor.
