Job summary

Tica Climate Solutions Malaysia in Kampung Baharu Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, seeks a Production Planner to translate sales forecasts and engineering specs into an optimized master production schedule for HVAC equipment.

You will ensure timely material availability, minimize changeovers, monitor progress, and collaborate with Procurement, Design, and shop-floor teams to meet delivery targets.

A relevant degree and 3–5 years in production planning with strong ERP and Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3–5 years of production planning and inventory control experience in discrete manufacturing or HVAC/heavy equipment industry.
• Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or equivalent).
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
• Good understanding of BOM, MRP logic, and shop floor routing.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
• Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• High attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for HVAC lines based on demand, forecasts, and inventory targets.
• Sequence production orders to minimize changeovers and balance workloads across fabrication, assembly, and testing lines.
• Monitor daily production progress against the schedule and implement corrective action plans for bottlenecks or shortages.
• Run and analyze MRP reports to ensure timely procurement and release of raw materials, standard parts, and customized components.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Purchasing to track vendor lead times and expedite critical HVAC components.
• Maintain optimal WIP and finished goods inventory to prevent stockouts and reduce holding costs.
• Collaborate with Design and Applications Engineering to ensure BOMs and routing sheets are accurate and released on time for ETO HVAC units.
• Liaise with Production Supervisors, Quality Control, and Warehouse teams to align daily output targets and resolve disruptions.
• Manage rush orders or schedule changes, assess capacity impact, and communicate revised delivery dates to Sales and Project Management.
• Track KPIs like Schedule Adherence, On-Time Delivery, Inventory Turnover, and Production Lead Time.
