The ideal candidate will oversee the full range of Human Resources functions while collaborating closely with headquarters on strategic initiatives. They will be responsible for strengthening the organization’s HR capabilities through the planning, execution and evaluation of HR policies, programs, and practices.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain effective communication with headquarters and develop national HR strategies aligned with the group’s global expansion plans, ensuring their successful implementation at the local level.
- Assess and guide local HR practices, continuously enhancing systems and standards to improve effectiveness and minimize operational risks.
- Oversee HR operations to ensure full legal compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations.
- Develop standardized HR documentation, processes, and policies to build a strong HR framework that supports business needs.
- Establish and lead a HR team, deliver shared HR services, coordinate internal resources, and enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
- Manage end-to-end HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, training, employee relations, compensation, and performance evaluation, ensuring smooth and consistent execution.
- Design and refine a competitive compensation and benefits structure. Implement employee engagement initiatives to support retention and satisfaction.
- Maintain strong partnerships with local government agencies, legal advisors, and relevant institutions to support ongoing business operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an HR management role, ideally within a large-scale manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required. Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage due to the nature of the business.
- Demonstrated cross-cultural communication skills and strong organizational and coordination capabilities.
- Proven leadership experience, particularly in managing diverse and multicultural teams.
- Energetic and proactive attitude, with high levels of resilience, adaptability and passion for HR work.
- Strong strategic mindset with the ability to independently solve complex HR issues.
