Job description

As the Human Resources Manager, you will oversee and manage the full HR spectrum—from talent acquisition to employee engagement, compliance, and organizational development. You are expected to be both strategic in planningand operational in execution, working closely with the COO and divisional leaders to build a high-performance workforce.

Drive end-to-end recruitment across departments and outlets (HQ, Operations, Licensing, IT, R&D).

Build and maintain a proactive talent pipeline.

Oversee new staff onboarding and orientation programs.

Implement and manage performance appraisal systems and KPIs.

Ensure timely evaluations, feedback cycles, and performance scoring.

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Drive end-to-end recruitment across departments and outlets (HQ, Operations, Licensing, IT, R&D).

  • Build and maintain a proactive talent pipeline.

  • Oversee new staff onboarding and orientation programs.

Performance Management & HR Systems
  • Implement and manage performance appraisal systems and KPIs.

  • Track team performance using digital tools.

  • Ensure timely evaluations, feedback cycles, and performance scoring.

Employee Relations & Engagement
  • Develop strategies for employee retention, motivation, and workplace culture.

  • Handle grievance resolution, disciplinary matters, and inter-departmental HR support.

  • Plan employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and internal reward systems.

HR Policy, SOP & Compliance
  • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies, SOPs, and handbooks.

  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian labor laws, SOCSO, EPF, and EIS.

  • Conduct internal HR audits and ensure ethical standards are upheld.

Organizational Development & Structure
  • Work with COO to align manpower planning with business growth.

  • Design job scopes, organizational charts, and succession plans for all departments.

  • Support leadership development and internal promotion frameworks.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management, Business Admin, or related field.

  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in HR roles, preferably in multi-outlet retail or F&B.

  • Solid knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and HR best practices.

  • Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and communication skills.

  • Proficient in digital HR systems, Excel/Google Sheets, and cloud platforms (e.g., Lark, JobStreet, or HRMS tools).

  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an added advantage).
