Job summary
The SWATCH Group is seeking an HR contact to support retail employees across Malaysia. This role involves strategic HR initiatives, workforce planning, and employee development to align with business growth and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include overseeing hiring processes, maintaining employee relations, and planning engagement activities. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the execution of HR strategies and ensuring compliance with legal labor standards.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main HR contact for retail employees across all stores/boutiques operating in Malaysia.
- Understand business priorities and provide HR strategies that support growth, talent development, and operational efficiency.
- Participate in the hiring of key roles to ensure alignment with business requirements and brand fit.
- Support strategic workforce planning, internal mobility, and succession planning efforts.
- Identify skill gaps and development needs through performance reviews and business goals.
- Work with HODs to create personalized employee development plans.
- Track progress and measure effectiveness of talent development efforts.
- Liaise with agency to ensure timely and accurate submission of employment pass application or renewal.
- Track application status and maintain communication with expatriate to ensure smooth relocation process.
- Provide guidance on employment-related matters and address issues in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of employee relations activities, disputes and outcomes.
- Work with the team to organize employee engagement activities, including team-building events, recognition programs, and other morale-boosting initiatives.
- Support the rollout of local and group-wide HR initiatives and programs.
- Assist with the continuous improvement of HR processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
