Summary

Our client is looking for a proactive and people-oriented Assistant Manager, HRBP to join our client’s HR team in the education sector. This role will act as a strategic partner to key academic and administrative departments, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives and fostering a positive and high-performance work culture across the institution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner and advisor to department heads and school leaders on HR-related matters including workforce planning, talent management, and employee engagement.
  • Provide hands-on HR support in areas such as performance management, employee relations, career development, and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with line managers to identify manpower needs and support recruitment processes in line with institutional goals.
  • Support implementation of HR policies, frameworks, and initiatives that are aligned with educational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct data-driven analysis to support decisions on organizational development, headcount planning, and employee satisfaction.
  • Act as a change agent in managing organizational transformation and continuous improvement within the HR function.
  • Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution in accordance with employment law and institutional policy.
  • Partner with Learning & Development teams to support staff training needs and professional growth within academic and non-academic functions.
  • Ensure HR practices are inclusive and support a diverse workforce culture.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of local labor laws and updates relevant to the education industry.

Requirement:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in an HR Business Partner role or similar capacity, preferably in a university or academic institution.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in managing end-to-end recruitment, addressing employee matters, supporting performance improvement, and driving organizational effectiveness.
  • Excellent people skills, with the ability to connect and communicate effectively across different teams and departments.
  • Capable of working autonomously in a fast-paced environment, managing competing tasks while ensuring timely delivery.
  • Able to join immediately will be an advantage
