A leading hotel in Kota Kinabalu seeks an enthusiastic HR personnel to enhance workplace culture and employee experiences. The ideal candidate will manage HR processes, support recruitment, and design engaging events, contributing to a vibrant work atmosphere at the first design hotel in the city.
About the role
The Luma Hotel is looking for a talented HR personnel who is outgoing, creative, and brings a fresh perspective to the employee workplace culture. If you love organizing events, designing fun employee experiences, and making HR processes more enjoyable, this is the role for you!
Job Responsibilities:
Providing administrative support to the HR team, including managing employee records, processing payroll, and coordinating benefits and onboarding processes
Assisting with the recruitment and selection process, including scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and maintaining applicant tracking systems
Updating employee training and development programs.
Handling HR-related inquiries from employees, providing guidance and support as needed
Collaborating with other departments to ensure effective communication and a positive employee experience
Plan and execute fun, engaging employee events (themed parties, team-building activities, wellness challenges, etc.).
Design interactive and welcoming onboarding experiences (gamified training, scavenger hunts, buddy systems).
Manage the company’s internal social platforms communication with fun polls, shoutouts, and challenges.
Help design visually appealing HR materials (presentations, handbooks, flyers).
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar administrative or HR support role.
Time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels
Proficient in using Microsoft Office, social tools, content creation and design apps. Bonus point if experience in event planning.
A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Creative, outgoing, and think outside the box to make HR processes more enjoyable
