Job summary

A leading company in the pharmaceutical sector seeks an HR Manager to oversee HR initiatives, compliance with Malaysian laws, and recruitment processes. Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant HR experience; managerial experience preferred.
  • Good knowledge of Malaysian Labour Laws and EPF, SOCSO.
  • Experience managing Trade Unions and negotiating Collective Agreements is an advantage.

Job description

To plan, develop, implement, and execute strategic policies aligned with the Company’s and Human Resource Department’s goals and objectives.

To ensure the Company’s compliance with all relevant Malaysian employment laws and regulations, including the Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, Trade Unions Act, SOCSO, Income Tax, MACC, etc.

Responsible for upholding, executing, and complying with current Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Documentation Practices, Occupational Safety & Health standards, Company Policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Rules & Regulations, the Company’s Core Values, and other policies as imposed from time to time.

Effectively manage the recruitment and hiring process to ensure the right talent is placed in the right roles in a timely manner.

Actively manage and administer Industrial Relations (IR), disciplinary issues, and all related activities to maintain strong industrial harmony, including handling matters related to the Collective Agreement and Union activities.

Manage all new HR-related projects and initiatives, along with other tasks as required by management.

Requirements:

Degree holder preferably in Human Resource, Law, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or equivalent.

Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in Human Resources; managerial experience is an advantage.

Good knowledge of EPF, SOCSO, Malaysian Labour Law, including the Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, Trade Unions Act, Income Tax Act, and MACC Act.

Excellent communication skills for managing stakeholders and employees at various levels.

Proficient in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Experience managing external Trade Unions and negotiating Collective Agreements is an added advantage.

Wide network within the HR fraternity.

Other Information:

This position is based at HQ in Melaka but will be responsible for both HQ and the Sales & Marketing Office in Kuala Lumpur.
