Reporting To

Head of Procurement, Hub Asia

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will develop and implement procurement and sourcing strategies to optimize costs, quality, delivery, and supplier reliability for assigned categories. Collaborating with Bids/Proposal & Technical teams, you will manage the tendering process for large-scale projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and contractual obligations. The work model is hybrid, based in Petaling Jaya or Johor Bahru, Malaysia, contributing to the Process Automation Hub Asia Energy Industries E-House Business.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Managing tender activities and evaluating vendor proposals for large E-House projects.
2. Implementing sourcing strategies to ensure suppliers can meet current and future needs.
3. Analyzing procurement activities, including total cost of ownership, and identifying cost-saving opportunities through market intelligence.
4. Building relationships with strategic suppliers through engagement and performance reviews.
5. Participating early in project tendering to contribute to successful bids.
6. Establishing standard purchase agreements and managing contract risks.
7. Tracking costs, spend, and savings, and reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering with strong technical and analytical skills.
• At least 10 years of experience in project sourcing, tendering, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Experience with large EPC projects in electrical, structural, and automation scopes across Asian countries.
• Deep understanding of relevant supply markets, especially in E-House business.
• Proven ability to manage complex tenders and contracts with attention to detail and strategic focus.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
