Position Details

This is a position with grade 11.

Reporting To

Head of Procurement, Hub Asia

Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will develop and implement procurement and sourcing strategies to optimize costs, quality, delivery, and supplier reliability for an assigned category or groups of categories. You will collaborate with Bids/Proposal & Technical teams and manage the tendering process for large-scale projects, ensuring compliance with company integrity and contractual obligations.

The work model is: Hybrid (#LI-Hybrid). This role contributes to the Process Automation Hub Asia Energy Industries E-House Business and is based in Petaling Jaya or Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

Main responsibilities include:

1. Managing tendering activities and evaluating vendor proposals for large-scale E-House projects.
2. Implementing sourcing strategies to ensure suppliers can meet business requirements.
3. Analyzing procurement activities, total cost of ownership, and market intelligence to identify cost-saving opportunities.
4. Building relationships with strategic suppliers through engagement and performance reviews.
5. Involving early in project tendering to contribute to successful bids.
6. Establishing standard purchase agreements and managing contract risks.
7. Tracking costs, budgets, and savings, and reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering with strong technical and analytical skills.
• At least 10 years of experience in project sourcing, tendering, procurement, or supply chain.
• Experience in large EPC projects involving electrical, structural, and automation scopes in Asian countries.
• Understanding of relevant supply markets, especially in E-House business.
• Ability to manage complex tenders and contracts with attention to detail and strategic thinking.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
