Job summary

Jotun Paints (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an HSEQ leader for a new Nilai facility to drive health, safety, environment and quality initiatives.

You will ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with Jotun global HSEQ standards for safe, sustainable operations. You will lead readiness activities during construction, commissioning and startup, manage ISO systems and audits, and partner with Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain to embed HSEQ in all processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in relevant fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in MNC, managing HSE of construction sites.
• Good knowledge and understanding of ISO system, Occupational Health, Safety and Environment, including wastes, chemicals and local laws.
• Good teamwork spirit, structured approach and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead HSEQ management systems, policies, and procedures for the new facility.
• Drive readiness activities for construction, commissioning, startup.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and Jotun HSEQ standards.
• Maintain HSEQ objectives, KPIs, and reporting.
• Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, emergency planning, corrective actions.
• Manage ISO management systems and coordinate audits.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and stakeholders to integrate HSEQ into processes.
• Design and deliver HSEQ training programmes for competency.
• Promote proactive safety culture through coaching and engagement.
• Lead HSEQ improvement projects for operational excellence.
• Act as liaison with regulators, authorities, auditors, emergency services, stakeholders.
