Responsibilities
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Develop and implement safety policies in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations, and stay updated on legal changes.
- Lead safety training and awareness programs to promote a safety-conscious culture among employees.
- Investigate workplace incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and manage emergency response plans, including evacuation and first aid protocols.
- Manage safety-related procurement and ensure vendor compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and implement safety measures for building/site management.
- Oversee safety reporting, budgeting, and provide regular updates to management.
- Lead safety teams and implement technology solutions for incident tracking and compliance monitoring.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in occupational safety, hazard identification, risk management, and safety program implementation.
- Hold a valid SSS (OYK) certification.
- Certified in ISO 45001:2018 – both Requirements and Internal Auditor.
- Certified in Basic Occupational First Aid, CPR & AED (Note: Expired in 2022; renewal may be required).
- Trained as an On-Scene Commander for emergency response situations.
- Certified Mental Health First Aider with strong awareness of psychological well-being.
- Trained in HIRARC and Environmental Aspect & Impact Assessments.
- Completed technical training in Hearing Conservation, SCBA, EEBA, and Gas Detector handling.
- Experienced in Incident Investigation and root cause analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, report writing, presentations, and business process improvement.
