Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC), Safe Operating Procedure (SOP), and Job Safety Analysis at work areas.
2. Assist in monitoring and identifying hazards at the workplace, environmental and security issues.
3. Conduct daily Safety & Health, Environmental, and Security inspections, submit reports of findings, and follow up on actions to be taken.
4. Manage Safety and Health, Environmental, and Security data: data entry, collection, collation, and safekeeping of all HSE and Security documents.
5. Assist in investigations, including preparing full reports on all incidents or accidents related to HSE and Security.
6. Assist in conducting/delivering HSE and Security training programs, activities, or promotions at the workplace.
7. Coordinate issues with local authorities or government agencies such as D.O.S.H, D.O.E, Ministry of Health, Police Department, and others.
8. Check and monitor all certified machinery, fire safety systems, and other equipment to maintain safe work practices and conditions in the plant.
9. Conduct routine checks and enforcement related to HSE and Security requirements, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures for all employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors.
10. Monitor unsafe acts and conditions at workplaces; ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
11. Manage the environmental aspects of the company's general and scheduled waste.
12. Perform other duties as required by management.
13. Control, check, and monitor security personnel performance, data recording, personnel attire, and other security-related matters.
14. Participate in and coordinate 5S activities under HSE and at workplaces.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health from a recognized professional institution, with at least 5 years of experience.
2. Certified as a Safety & Health Officer by DOSH Malaysia.
3. Hold a DOSH Green Book.
4. Ability to work independently and enforce compliance with regulatory requirements.
5. Possess a positive attitude, discipline, good interpersonal skills, and systematic approach.
6. Experience in a manufacturing environment; knowledge of ISO 14001 / ISO 45001.
7. Demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.
8. Ability to plan, organize, evaluate, and lead activity schedules and direct others' work.
9. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to see long-term strategic improvements.
10. Exhibit a good attitude and interpersonal skills to work with diverse backgrounds.
