Job summary

RUNJIAN (M) SDN. BHD. is seeking a proactive Safety Coordinator to establish and monitor the HSE framework across our projects in Malaysia.

You will implement safety policies, ensure OSHA 1994 and DOSH compliance, maintain HIRARC registers, and drive a strong safety culture on site. You will handle PTW for high-risk activities, lead inductions and toolbox talks, assist incident investigations with root-cause analysis, and coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of site safety experience in relevant projects (M&E, construction, or tech).
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian OSH regulations and DOSH requirements.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact with all levels.
• Basic report writing in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Physically fit for site walkthroughs and inspections.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project-specific HSE plans, policies, and procedures in compliance with OSHA 1994 and DOSH regulations.
• Establish and maintain HIRARC registers for all project activities.
• Ensure all site operations comply with local safety regulations, client requirements, and company safety standards.
• Maintain up-to-date understanding of relevant safety legislation and industry best practices.
• Assist in PTW issuance, monitoring, and closure for high-risk activities (height work, lifting, confined spaces, temporary electrical).
• Ensure LOTO procedures are followed for all isolation activities.
• Conduct site safety inductions and lead toolbox talks; deliver safety training and emergency drills.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses with root-cause analysis and corrective actions; maintain logs and reports.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and authorities on safety matters.
