Job Description
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE programs and policies tailored to high voltage substation construction activities.
  • Ensure project is in compliance with relevant local and national health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as the company standards and policies.
  • To provide the best practice HSE solution on day-to-day monitor and report to maintain high HSE standards in the field.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and job hazard analyses to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor compliance with HSE standards. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • to monitor and review the implementation of HSE standard at the high voltage substation construction site.
  • Ensuring project meeting that we chair starts with a Health & Safety moment which we initiate through our dedicated Health, Safety, Wellbeing App
  • Ensuring all employees, contractors, subcontractors and vendors on site have a requisite level of compliant safety training resulting in them having knowledge of high degree of hazard awareness.
  • Adopting a collaborative approach to health and safety across the entire project team promoting safety accountability at all levels, including from the client and owner.
  • Setting a zero-tolerance health and safety culture.
  • Adopting health and safety assurance process emphasizes leading indicators, which are effective in the developing mitigations to risks on the project site
  • Proactively undertaking site supervision of works activities to address safety concerns or identified risk activities.
Qualifications
  • Degree qualifications in HSE, project management, construction management, civil engineering, mechanical/electrical engineering, or similar function.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ HSE experience with Green Book Holder.
  • Experience and knowledge of all of the main HSE project management concepts, tools and techniques.
  • Conversant to a competent level with Microsoft Office (incl MS-Project Management)
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and high-pressure environment, to meet often tight deadlines, and to work pro-actively as part of a committed team.
  • Demonstrate a proficient level of professional skill and/or knowledge in project management and keep current with developments and trends. Knowledge and ability to use applicable information technology and systems to meet work needs.
