About the role

As the HSE Manager at ENVITHRIVE ENGINEERING SDN BHD, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the effective implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures across the organisation. This is a contract role based in Pasir Gudang, Johor.

What you'll be doing

Developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE strategies, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment

Conducting risk assessments, creating mitigation plans, and ensuring compliance with all relevant HSE regulations and industry standards

Investigating incidents and accidents, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence

Providing training and guidance to employees on HSE best practices

Collaborating with project teams to integrate HSE considerations into all aspects of operations

Preparing and submitting HSE reports and data to management and regulatory authorities

Continuously improving HSE performance through the implementation of new initiatives and the review of existing processes

What we're looking for

Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related field

Minimum 5 years of experience as an HSE Manager or in a similar role within the construction industry

Thorough knowledge of relevant HSE legislation, regulations, and industry best practices

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address HSE risks

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with employees at all levels

Proven track record of implementing effective HSE management systems and driving continuous improvement

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
