Job summary

DKSH is seeking an Assistant Manager, HSE to oversee safety, health, and environmental programs across Malaysia's operations. You will drive continuous safety improvements, ensure regulatory adherence, and lead investigations and emergency planning for employees and contractors.

The role requires ISO 45001/14001 knowledge, strong communication in English/Bahasa Malaysia, and the ability to implement risk controls and incident prevention measures across warehouse, manufacturing, and office spaces.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Technology, Occupational Safety, or related field.
Minimum 3 years in a similar HSE role within warehouse, manufacturing or logistics.
Strong knowledge of ISO 45001/14001 and OSHA.
Proficient in MS Office and data reporting.

Responsibilities

Implement and monitor HSE programs aligned with OSHA, DOSH, DOE and other authorities.
Conduct risk assessments (HIRARC) and site inspections to reduce risks.
Lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis with corrective actions.
Develop emergency response plans, evacuation drills, and first-aid readiness.
Oversee safe handling, storage, and movement of goods and forklifts in warehouses.
Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and PPE training to staff.
Prepare monthly HSE reports and KPI dashboards for audits.
Maintain documentation for regulatory compliance and audit submissions.
Drive continuous HSE improvements using digital tools for reporting and near-misses.
Build productive relationships with government agencies and regulators.
