The HR Business Partner oversees the daily functions of the HR department, ensuring efficient operations, compliance with laws, and a positive employee experience. This includes managing HR systems, policies, procedures, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and benefits administration.

This position reports to the HR Director, located in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, and is an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Employee Engagement:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on employee relations, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment, especially supporting leaders and employees working night shifts.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives such as virtual coffee sessions, annual offsite team building, wellness programs (e.g., health day, Kids@Work), and professional development activities like leadership roundtables, learning lunches, and stay interviews.

Learning & Development Solution Delivery:

  • Oversee training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies by delivering tailored annual training solutions (online, in-person, blended) to address skill gaps and support growth.
  • L&D Administration and Budget Management: Manage administration and HRDF budget in accordance with government governance, ensuring 100% utilization annually.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to support ad-hoc training and development initiatives, fostering continuous learning.

Talent Management Support:

  • Support talent management and succession planning initiatives.

Oversee Daily HR Operations:

  • Manage daily HR operations, including signing off on HR letters per Pall Malaysia policies and aligning with organizational goals.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Education: Degree or professional qualification in Human Resources.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years in HRBP, Learning & Development roles.
  • Shift Working: Ability to work on shift hours (3:00 pm – 12:00 am).
  • Knowledge of HR laws and regulations: Ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively at all levels.
