Job description

The HR Systems Specialist will support the Lead in providing technical expertise, development, and ongoing maintenance of the Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS), with a focus on Leave Management, Performance Management, and Roster Planning modules. This role will partner closely with HR stakeholders and vendors to deliver efficient system solutions, ensure smooth system operations, and identify opportunities for process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the HR Systems Lead in executing regional HR technology strategies aligned with Group HR objectives.
  • Provide day-to-day application support for HRMS modules, including troubleshooting functional and technical issues, resolving process flaws, and ensuring seamless system operations.
  • Collaborate with vendors and IT teams to monitor application health, implement patches, and perform system maintenance while optimizing cost efficiency and performance.
  • Translate business requirements into clear technical/system specifications and oversee implementation.
  • Develop, customize, and maintain HRMS reports and dashboards using XML Publisher and Oracle Discoverer.
  • Research and resolve HRMS-related issues, recommending solutions or alternative methods for improved efficiency.
  • Ensure regulatory and internal compliance across all system operations.
  • Provide technical guidance and advice to HR stakeholders to support business objectives and decision-making.
  • Partner with regional HR peers to document system enhancements, upgrades, and implementation procedures.
  • Mentor junior team members when required, fostering knowledge transfer and capability building.
  • Safeguard confidentiality of HR data and maintain strict system security controls.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Human Resources, or related field.

Relevant Work Experience

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in supporting and maintaining Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS), ideally within financial services, consulting, or large organizations.

Skills/Competencies

Experience with XML Publisher and Oracle Discoverer, cloud-native applications, vendor collaboration.
