Vale is seeking an HR Services Lead to deliver high-quality integrated HR services, with a focus on payroll, employee experience, and team leadership. This strategic role involves supervising payroll processes, enhancing employee engagement, and overseeing a dedicated HR team, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
Position Overview:
As the HR Services Lead, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, integrated HR services with payroll at the center. You'll lead and inspire a team dedicated to service excellence, continuous improvement, and creating an outstanding employee experience at every stage of the journey.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Payroll Oversight & Vendor Management
• Supervise accurate and timely payroll processing, ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements, company policies, and internal controls.
• Manage relationships with payroll vendors and partners, ensuring service quality, adherence to SLAs, and alignment with local regulations.
• Liaise proactively with Finance, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve payroll-related issues quickly and effectively.
• Ensure payroll is seamlessly integrated within the broader HR services framework to deliver a consistent employee experience.
2. Employee Experience Leadership
• Drive strategic initiatives to enhance the employee journey from onboarding to exit, improving engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including HR Business Partners and functional leaders, to implement programs that strengthen organizational culture and employee loyalty.
• Champion a holistic approach to employee experience, ensuring alignment and consistency across all HR service lines.
3. Employee Experience Hub Management
• Oversee the Employee Experience Hub to deliver prompt, empathetic, and effective support for all employee inquiries and needs.
• Monitor service metrics, analyze employee feedback, and identify trends to drive targeted, continuous improvements.
• Maintain high service standards that reinforce trust and promote employee well-being.
4. Issue Resolution, Compliance & Audit
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex payroll and HR service issues, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
• Ensure strict adherence to labor laws, data privacy regulations, and internal governance policies.
• Support audit activities and maintain comprehensive documentation to demonstrate compliance with all regulatory requirements.
5. Reporting, Analysis & Process Improvement
• Produce clear, insightful reports on payroll operations, service performance, employee inquiries, and other HR metrics.
• Analyse data to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, standardizing processes, leveraging technology, and fostering a culture of service excellence and innovation.
6. Team Supervision & Development
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of HR service professionals, setting clear goals and expectations while providing ongoing coaching and development.
• Promote a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous learning.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, facilitate skill-building opportunities, and encourage knowledge sharing to develop a highly engaged, effective team.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proven experience supervising HR service delivery in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment, with strong knowledge of end-to-end payroll processing.
• Expertise in HRIS and payroll systems, with excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to confidentiality and data integrity.
Preferred Experience:
• Supervisory or managerial experience in HR Services within a Shared Services environment.
• Proven ability to lead integrated service lines, including payroll, with strong focus on service quality and process efficiency.
• Solid understanding of shared service delivery models, service integration, and continuous improvement.
